Wine Travel in Czech is a boutique travel company offering private wine and cultural experiences across the Czech Republic. We go beyond the tourist trails—connecting you with the real stories, people, and places behind Czech wine.
Few people know there are many vineyards in and around the beautiful city of Prague. It’s always fascinating to visit plots that have been planted centuries ago right in the middle of a capital city. If you’re a wine enthusiast, discovering these hidden gems is a must when visiting the country.

And if you have more time to explore, we also offer custom-made escapes to the historic wine regions of Bohemia and Moravia—sun-drenched landscapes just a stone’s throw from Austria.
Wine Travel in Czech was founded by Andrea Kotašková to share her passion for wine and the history of her country. She is a licensed tour guide recognized by the Czech Ministry of Regional Development and holds an advanced WSET qualification. The result is a highly personal and professional way to discover the Czech Republic—through its wine, heritage, and people, in English, French, or Italian.
Today, our small, dedicated team creates immersive, tailor-made journeys that go beyond the ordinary. Thanks to our strong local network, we open doors that are usually closed to the public: historic cellars, family-run wineries, biodynamic vineyards, and unforgettable meetings with passionate winemakers.
Every tour is private, flexible, and designed with care. Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned connoisseur, we adapt the experience to your pace, interests, and level of knowledge. We’ll make sure you spend an unforgettable time—with expert guidance, a warm welcome, and a good dose of fun.
We believe that discovering Czech wine is discovering the Czech Republic itself—its land, its people, and its stories.
Let us help you relax and enjoy a unique moment surrounded by vines, history, and some of the finest wines the country has to offer.
Na zdraví! Cheers!

My serious interest in wine started almost 10 years ago when I applied for various sommelier courses. This slowly led me to studies at Wines and Spirits International Weinakademie Österreich, which I successfully finished with a level 3 award – Advanced certificate.
I am also a member of the Czech Sommelier Association.
I was happy to turn my hobby into a profession when I worked as a marketing manager at the biggest Czech wine and spirits merchant, Premier Wines & Spirits.
I was very proud to have been born in Prague, the beautiful capital city of the Czech Republic. But as I have been into wine for quite a while, I cannot forget to mention Moravia. If you love wine, it’s the region you should not miss while visiting the Czech Republic.
As I am a local and wine is my passion, I will be more than happy to be your guide. I would love to share my knowledge and passion for wine with you – no matter if you are a wine amateur or wine expert. Everybody learns every day.

Gabriel Riel-Salvatore is an Italian-Canadian wine lover who swapped North America for Prague ten years ago—and never looked back. For the past three years, he’s been one of the friendly faces behind Wine Travel in Czech, guiding guests through the country’s vineyards, cellars and hidden wine corners. With over twenty years in the wine world, an advanced WSET under his belt and the title of Italian Wine Ambassador, Gabriel brings both expertise and easygoing charm to every tour. He also helps Czech wineries break into the Canadian market. Expect stories, laughs, and a true local’s perspective as he uncorks the history and flavours of Bohemia and Moravia.
Betty is the heart of our behind-the-scenes magic — supporting the smooth running of our tours and helping coordinate key details between Andrea, our guests, and the winemakers we work with. Thanks to her excellent organisation and warm approach, everything comes together seamlessly.
A true Prague native, Betty has spent her entire life in the historic centre, just steps from the National Theatre. Her deep connection to the city — its history, stories, and everyday life — makes every tour feel more like a walk through Prague with a real local. You may also meet her on our Prague’s Hidden Vineyards tour, where she brings her love for the city to life.
Beyond her knowledge of Prague, Betty is well-versed in wine and its history. She is fluent in English and communicates comfortably in German and Spanish. Warm and reliable, Betty makes everything feel easy from the start.
