Explore one of the most popular Czech cities and a UNESCO heritage site with unique connections to wine.
Known as the town of two cathedrals, Kutna Hora was pronounced a royal town by King Charles IV, who first brought the most popular grape species – Pinot Noir – in the 14th century.
Enjoy an exclusive look at one of the Czech Republic’s top organic wineries, the only one in the country to hold a respected DEMETER biodynamic certification. Taste its wine with the wine grower in his historical cellar and right in front of the famous cathedral.
Kutna Hora is located in Bohemia only 1-hour drive West of Prague.
Among various reasons, this tour deserves 5 stars for its originality.
I’ve been on a fair few tours in other wine-making regions but this one is the first that had such a diversity of wineries, from the grand castle in Kutna Hora to a family business that felt as authentic as it was small. The Cistercian church and cellars built in the rock deep underground were particularly cool… To be fair, this review would not be complete without mentioning Isabelle. A great guide and lovely company! All in all, highly recommended!!
